Marketing yourself in 2014

With the new year starting and marketing trends always changing make sure you are ready.

We want to discuss personal online presence. These days everyone is online and social media is one of our biggest tools. Used properly we can create networks that will benefit us in a business network situation and socially. As business professional's Linkedin is one of the best resources for creating a larger professional network. Linkedin, when used properly can be very beneficial but when used incorrectly it can work against you. Most people think it is best to invite anyone and everyone they can find to become a connection. However, this usually is not the best practice. You do not want to make a network of people you don't know and do not have any connections with but you want to create a network of colleagues and to grow that network with invites and suggestions between mutual connections. When setting up your account you need to be detailed on the positive action items. Udating your profile correctly is very important. Linkedin has a few tutorials on how to setup your profile correctly. Another item linkedin offers is the ability to follow companies in which you are interested in. This is a good way to see what the company is doing as well as possible job opportunities. Always be sure to follow up after you make a connection on linkedin. Many proffesionals make a connection and never follow up and it is key to make sure that you let the person know that you received the connection and possibly discuss a common intrest or topic.  Along with Linkedin, Biznik and Branchout both offer great opportunities for business professionals. As business professionals we must always be making new connections and finding new oppertunities. Local SEO and Internet marketing are done a lot through local networking events and sharing connections. Getting involved in local activities gives you a chance to build your social network by making connections in person and following up online is key. Making sure that you quickly follow up and keep the contact/connection live will help you in the long run.

Qreyon welcomes our newest client—BPKFL.

The Qreyon team would like to welcome one of our new clients Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge. BPKFL is home away from home for hundreds of families and individuals who love the Florida Keys and the unique experience they provide each and every guest. Family-owned and operated, this is a the Key's hidden gem that has gained quite the following mostly through word-of-mouth referrals. This is where we were asked to come in and begin building a brand that will translate their one-of-a-kind business model. Throughout the entire discovery phase, we've conducted months of research including ethnographic studies, interviews with returning and first-time guests, competitive analysis and strategic surveys. This research will be placed within the brand standards (currently in the works) along with their new brand guidelines. While their new versatile identity development is well underway, we are very excited to be working on their stationery system, signage, print collateral and possibly their most impressive feature, a one-of-a-kind website that matches their unique brand. Check back for updates along with photos of our process.
